HOW I WORK
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Many of the people I work with are capable and accomplished, yet quietly stuck — caught in patterns they can see but can't seem to change. Maybe you keep ending up in the same kind of relationship, or you're the one who holds everyone together and has lost track of what you need, or you feel down without quite knowing why. Often, underneath, the work is about longstanding patterns of adaptation that once protected you and now get in the way. Our work together is collaborative and paced to you — a blend of understanding where these patterns come from and practicing new ways of relating in real life. Sessions are 45 minutes, held securely online anywhere in New York or New Jersey.
PARENTING CONSULTATION
My parenting work isn't generic advice — it's grounded in attachment research and child development. I help parents understand their child, themselves, and the relationship between them: what a child's behavior may be communicating, how your own early experiences show up in your parenting, and how to respond in ways that don't repeat the patterns you grew up with. This work draws on an advanced background in attachment research, emotional-availability assessment, dyadic mother–infant intervention, school psychology, and neuropsychological assessment — across hospital, independent/public school, and private settings. Consultations are held online for parents across New York and New Jersey.
HOW WE WORK TOGETHER
Every person who reaches out is carrying something specific, so therapy here is never one-size-fits-all. My approach is warm and relational, rooted in compassion, ethical practice, and current research. The work is tailored to you — a blend of practical strategies and deeper exploration, moving at the pace you need. Whether you're new to therapy or returning for something deeper, the goal is the same: to understand yourself more fully, and to relate differently to yourself, your feelings, and the people around you.
